There is always full of challenges in nucleic acid purification. For instance, you need increase sample volume when the concentration of DNA is too low.

Well, where there is a way for car, there is a skilled driver.

Yes, you heard right, there is indeed a skilled driver at Biocomma who successfully broke the limit of sample volume in 2-mL spin columns.

Like the way Edison worked on materials for light bulb filament, our “skilled driver” also tested a variety of materials. Ingenious connector was designed eventually. The connector can connect the inner tube with extension tube seamlessly. There are extension tubes of different sizes according to your sample volumes: 3 mL, 6 mL, 12 mL, etc. You can deal with ten times of sample volume with the same inner tube.

After finishing sample loading, unplug the connector and extension tube. As usual, you then centrifuge, wash, and elute to get purified DNA.

With the unique design of connector and extension tube, we have successfully developed new plasmid extraction kits, which can extract 150 ug of DNA easily.
